Now then, let me tell you about our Global Meeting that took place in April!

■What is a “Global Meeting”?

Every quarter our Tokyo, Taipei, and Shanghai locations connect online and share updates about each of our offices. Since beBit has many employees of different nationalities, our Global Meetings take place completely in English. 

The meeting was hosted by Tomura Hirotsugu, who also appeared in vol. 29 and vol. 30 of our inhouse podcast “beBit Magazine”.
If you haven’t listened to it yet, be sure to check it out!

In the past, our Global Meetings used to take place in the Seminar Hall of the Japan Office, but as COVID-19 is still ongoing, the meetings now take place mainly online.

Because of this, the seminar hall looks just a little bit lonely…

■What do we do at the meetings?

The agenda for the meeting is divided into four main topics.

“Endo Talk” - Our CEO, Endo-san spoke about company-wide events and future strategies.
“Tokyo Talk” - Our Executive Vice President Nakajima-san talked about projects and achievements as the representative of the Japan Region.
“EA (East Asia) Talk” - Our Senior Vice President Jason-san talked about projects and achievements as the representative of the Shanghai and Taipei regions.
Each representative reviewed the occurrences in the previous quarter. 

“Topics” - Any additional topics that may need to be covered.
In total, the meeting took about 1 hour.

■Topics in April

Since beBit’s fiscal year starts in January, the topics from this meeting were mainly about the first quarter (January~March).

The biggest topic of this meeting was the addition of beBit Technology Inc. (beBit TECH).
Earlier this year, we welcomed Omniscient Cloud Technologies, Inc., a Taiwanese MarTech company, to our team as beBit TECH. From here, we will work together to realize UX centered DX!

We may not be able to meet in person for a while, but we were able to see their beautiful smiles online!

■To Conclude…

For those who joined beBit this year, this was our first Global Meeting! Did you enjoy the meeting?

It was my first time participating as well so I was a bit nervous about the atmosphere and the topics of discussion, but it was a great opportunity learning about the direction the company is headed from Endo-san, Nakajima-san, and Jason-san!

The Global Meeting for the second quarter is currently being prepared, so sit tight for updates!
